E2K Halo team places 49th at MLG Dallas
Posted on Sep 10, 2009 7:14 PM by SoonerBlondieE2K Gaming was able to have one of their very own teams place 49th at MLG Dallas during the weekend of August 28th - 30th. Although a newly created team, made for Dallas, E2K FunSize and his fellow teammates were able to achieve a successfull standing in the overall match. After Dallas's outstanding performance, E2K Funsize (Cameron), Orange County, California, gives an interview of his time spent at the MLG tournament and where he hopes to take his accomplishments after Dallas.

E2K: How long have you been apart of E2K?
E2K FunSizE: I haven't been in E2K forever I joined June right after MLG Columbus.
E2K: Your team was comprised of a few different players; who was on your team?
E2K FunSize: Well for Dallas we had: A Dark Legacy (Jesse), Sov SV (Justin), Sa1ntly (Andy) and of course, myself- E2K FunSize (Cameron).
E2K: How much time was spent preparing for Dallas?
E2K FunSize: A couple of months- it really kicked off when I got the team pass for Dallas.
E2K: What experience do you have prior to Dallas?
E2K FunSize: Well I went to previous events, San Diego '08 and Columbus '09; I haven't just been to MLG events. I have gone to alot of LANs and local tourneys which help a lot.
E2K: How many matches did you all play in?
E2K FunSize: About 18 games, probably more.
E2K: What was the most exciting, yet challenging match you were in?
E2K FunSize: It would defintely have to be our team warmups. I couldn't call out just one game. We started warming up in the morning on Friday; We just sat down, never stood up- and we won 8 games straight undefeated. We had to leave cause noone else wanted to play us.
E2K: What do you think is your best skill..sniping, br, etc.
E2K FunSize: Sniping, I love sniping but if another teammate got it then usaly grab the mauler and just use BR.
E2K: Do you feel Dallas improved your skill as a gamer overall?
E2K FunSize: Every tourney or LAN I go to sure does improve your skill and the way you want to play.
E2K: Were you all satisfied with your placing?
E2K FunSize: It was an alright placing but I wanted to go at least top 32.
E2K: How do you think yourself or the team could improve as a whole?
E2K FunSize: Well actually we are doing GameBattles and going to more local LANs. Before Anaheim, I'm having the team come out 2 weeks early so that we can just LAN teams . That's good preparation.
E2K: Which other MLG events are you attending?
E2K FunSize: Well Anaheim for sure since I live 5 minutes away and the other MLGs when they are announced.
E2K: What did you think of the event overall?
E2K FunSize: Dallas was a great event. I wanted Carbon to win the whole way! I was surprised about Str8 Rippin getting 4th, but everyone knew that they could be taken out. And triggers down? 1st?! Thats crazy! They did have the history of taking Dallas like last year. I didnt think they could beat Carbon, but it was a close one.
E2K: Which has been your favorite MLG event thus far?
E2K FunSize: It would have to be Dallas.
E2K: Any goals that the team plans on achieving within the rest of the MLG 09 Season?
E2K FunSize: Anaheim Top 32! We want to get E2K Into the Semi-Pro bracket.
We look forward to seeing FunSize and the rest of his team continue to play as well as they have been! Congratulations guys for making it as far as you did at Dallas, and we expect nothing but the best from you all in Anaheim!
The Next MLG Event -
Anaheim will take place on November 6th- 9th, 2009.

Street Fighter 4 GameBattle Victory: E2K Testvile
Posted on Apr 17, 2009 10:39 PM by SoonerBlondieEvent: Street Fighter 4 GameBattles Online Match
E2K Testvile VS Geom
Date of Match: March 26, 2009

E2K’s Clifton StreetFighters leader, Testvile, waited anxiously to begin the intense match against Geom, second place holder of GameBattles leader boards (single ladder) for Street Fighter 4. Victorious in the online match, Testvile has given the gaming community a summary of the match itself, and how this accomplishment will further benefit him. Geom, his opponent was ranked in second place when Testvile faced off with him in a head to head battle ultimately ending in an E2K win. However, since the match Geom ranked up to number one. Ranking number nine or 10 at the time, Testvile has since ranked down to number 12 only due to various 360 malfunctions, but he promises to be back in the swing of things as soon as possible.
E2K: What made this match a difficult and anticipated one?
Testvile: As I told you he is ranked number two, which means he barely loses. He also used a character that I am not used to fighting.
E2K: What were your feelings before the match?
Testvile: My heart was POUNDING!
E2K: What were the overall game statistics?
Testvile: It was 3 to 2, and 3 to 1 so it was close.
E2K: Tell me about each round to the best of your ability.
Testvile: First game it was his Guile versus my Bison. The first two rounds were his because whenever I did the head stomp he always jumped and did an air grab. I was surprised about that, but then I started playing smarter and just relaxed. Then, I began to play how I normally do when I kick somebody's ass. Second game was tough because it had the newer characters that I hardly ever go against.
E2K: What was the most intense moment of the match?
Testvile: The very last round we both had barely any health left and I just got down to business and went after him. I had a good idea he was going to jump so I did the same and kicked him.
E2K: What was a crucial move that you made during the match that lead to your victory?
Testvile: It would definitely be the Bison's head stomp, skull head driver, low medium kick/ scissor kick Combo. It’s a huge combo, but obviously it worked every time.
E2K: What could you have improved on (if anything) and why?
Testvile: I think I need to improve on defense against cross-ups. I get too scared ha-ha.
E2K: What made this battle a critical win for your gaming career and E2K?
Testvile: For me, it puts a nice loss on his record and a sweet win on mine. For E2k it just goes to show how we are there to win, and we are going to make it to the top.
E2K: How does this affect your rank on the Game Battles system?
Testvile: It gave me a lot of experience points for beating him.
E2K: Are you planning on attending any events in the near future?
Testvile:If street fighter makes it to MLG then I would be there. I also go to local tournaments.
E2K: Tell me your expectations for the 09 season and how you hope to excel in the Street Fighter competitions.
Testvile: I’m going to continue to watch how the pros play and use their techniques. However, I want to learn them, and make them even better with continual practice.
Thank you Testvile for taking time to do the interview, and for giving the members of the E2K Gaming Team, as well as the gaming community, an overview of this eventful match.
